Hi Everyone

Love to read all the posts, seems to be getting busy again is it because we are all counting down to our next visit (apart from you lucky people who live in Dalyan and Okcular).

Just had a thought do you all live north of Watford or is there anyone else who lives down south, we meet very few southerners when we are in Dalyan. We live in Hampshire near Portsmouth and would love to hear from any near neighbours!

Hi, there are a few southerners here, we moved from Hamble, which you will probably know as the place down the road from you with a river and lots of boats. A bit like Dalyan really, not. There are many other southerners living here from Cornwall through to Kent and many places south of the 'Gap'.
Having lived in Hull for about 9 years, I know that the 'Watford Gap' is actually to keep southerners out not the other way round.
Traditionaly and factualy, northerners are a canny lot and know a good deal when they see it so the north was heavily targeted by the tour companies coming to Turkey. Just have a look at how many flights come from airports in the Midlands and points north.

Hi Irene and Roger, although I now live in Sheffield, I am originally from Northwood, Middlesex. Only just "South of Watford" by 2 miles I think.
Maybe it's getting busy on here, because like me, many people are trying to take thier minds of the "Doom and Gloom" of cold grey weather, winter colds and bugs, credit crunch and recession etc.

223 days to go and counting

We are from Dartford in Kent, have met a few people in Dalyan who come from down south.

Steve, Andy and Julie are in Hull, you should have something to talk about if you ever meet up.

84 days and counting.........

I'm originally from Hayes in West London and have raced on the Northwood Hills many times as a youth. I've lived as far north as near Inverness and a few points in between since. Now in Wiltshire about 12 miles east of Bath but will get itchy feet once the kids all de-camp. Nadia was born in Genva and brought up in Lausanne, she is almost a fully naturalised Brit now, eating the occasional fry up, watching rugby but cannot get cricket.

Vince

Do I count as one of your southern neighbours?

It takes about 10 minutes to get to you from me.
