A friend of mine is building an arcade of shop units where the Han bar used to be. In the same area as Sun Ray and the Rock Bar for those that can't remember Han Bar.
Rumour has it that each unit will be for sale at a reasonable price, I must ask him next time I see him. Forget that, I have just phoned him. They are about 130sq.m each duplex type so there is an upstairs area for whatever about 30 sq.m. and depending on the position the price is from ?110,000 to ?125,000 each. This is a really good price for an investment shop in Dalyan centre. You can contact me for help and advice. Shops are not usualy for sale, only for rent.

Hi Steve, will these units be ready for the coming season? Seems Dalyan is ever changing, and I really look forward to visiting each time to see whats gone and what is still there, any new restaurants etc. Great work on keeping us all informed. Roll on September!

Hi, yes they will be ready for the season, I would think these will be snapped up fairly quickly, if anyone has any cash. There are very few businesses that own their own premises and as I have said before, the main problem is the silly rents they have to pay.
It may be difficult to get a drink or restaurant licence for them unless they already have one. It would be nice if someone bought them and offered them at a sensible rent.
Quite a few businesses have moved or will disapear for this very reason.
Thanks for the encouragement, I don't like posting on forums in general as I tend to sound like a know it all. I don't and I know why, it is because you can find out about something one day and then a week later the rules change. So whatever you see posted on any forum can be true at the time of writing only. The goalposts move all the time.
I can only tell you my experiences and because I never trust gossip until I hear it from the horses mouth I can only speculate on some things. Hence words like apparantly, supposedly and I have heard rumour.
Libel laws here are tough and Turks will go to court over anything they think is libelous or defaming.
Having said that, they still make up outragious stories about people in the teahouses when they are bored. Some are funny, others are downright nasty.
