Manage your Turkcell Phone Online

Ever wanted to check, or change your mobile phone settings, find out who a mystery caller is, change your tariff, or just check when you must top up before your phone is disconnected? All of this can be done on-line through the Turkcell website:

1. Go to to Turkcell homepage in English: http://www.turkcell.com.tr/en

2. At the top, click "Online Services"

3. You should now get a pop-up window - if you don't, check that you haven't got any pop-up blockers enabled.

4. You will now need to get a "SuperPassword":

a. On your mobile phone, create a text message with just "sifre" as the text, and send this to "2222"

b. Within a couple of minutes, you should receive a text back with your SuperPassword

5. On the login page, enter:

a. Your phone number without the leading 0, and with no spaces e.g.: 5123456789

b. Your SuperPassword (see steps 4.1 and 4.2 above)

c. The "Security Code" text shown in the image (this will change each time)

6. Click "Log In"

7. You may be prompted to change your SuperPassword here, if you are, just enter your current SuperPassword, and then a new password. Note that the SuperPassword must be between 6 and 8 characters long, and can only contain numbers.

8. Once you are logged in, have a look around, but here are some useful items to get youstarted:

a. Line Services> Account Information - Check to see an overview of your account

b. Counter Operations>Counter Info - shows you how many units (Kontors) you have left

c. Counter Operations>Usage Periods - shows you when you must next top up to avoid disconnection

d. Counter Operations>Konbara Transactions - this section allows you to view and transfer your accumulated FREE units

e. Counter Operations>Kontor Transfer - allows you to transfer unused units to another phone

f. Tariff Operations> Tariff Change - allows you to change which tariff you are using

g. Line Services>International Operations - allows you to control whether your phone can be used for international roaming.

i. Services> Bilinmeyen No - Allows you to see who owns a mobile number (costs 4 units)

Hi Andy. Is it possible to read your texts online because I leave my turkish mobile in Turkey and as from January you need a 4 digit code every time you go on Isbank internet banking which is sent to your turkish mobile. I have been in the bank and they say it is posssible to access internet banking using an i-key, whch I have purchased. This thing came through the post to my english address but all the instructions are in turkish. I am not coming over till the 6th april so cannot sort it out till then.

Sorry, I have not got a clue. Perhaps someone else has one of these things and can let you know. I do know someone else who looks after a turkish mobile for someone in England who skype each other to get the code, not much help I'm afraid.
Just had a thought Stan, why not use skype and phone Ercan or Halil at the bank and get them to talk you through it the number is 0090 252 284 2023.

Only 3 days till I go now. I'll just get them to show me face to face, it stresses me out trying to communicate with foreigners over the phone. Thanks for the phone No. Steve.
