I have not got a clue what it is about, something old to do with the coming season and good crops etc, bit like some sort of fertility festival!!!! Anyway it is this weekend. I expect there will be eating and drinking etc.

Damn I am going to miss it, I think it would be good to attend these to try and integrate.

I think Allan and Janet are at the forefront of this, so get in touch with them about next year. I know Jon Lyles is going, so if you are in touch with him he can give you the lowdown. I am busy tomorow, so won't be going.

Sorry, I forgot to say, this seems to be a very local, sort of wicca thing, and not intended to be touristy, but good for people with property in Okcular and a good thing to attend if you can make it. I am sure you would all be made most welcome. I have not heard of it before, but it has probably gone on for generations and is a very local thing. NOT to be commercialised, I hope.

Steve thanks for telling us about this, I support your hope of it not being commercialised. However having a passing interest in things pagan/wiccan/pre-modern religion I wouldn't mind a visit (there's only one of me so I wouldn't cause too much touristy rumpus), do you know which weekend it's being held next year? Or could you let us know nearer the time? All the more reason for me to move to Okcular, if only the apartment I was after wasn't blighted by this bloomin' road widening/improvement thingey........
