Too far to walk!!!!! :Nop: But that is the beauty of it you can sit on the beach and there won't be a hotel in site.
For anyone who hasn't been to Istuzu beach before here is a view back to Dalyan.

Don't worry it is not quite as barren as it looks, there are cafe's either end of the beach and decent toilets with changing rooms. The view given here is the end you go to by road without showing the cafe's and sunbeds or the sea, it is about a 25 minute drive. The other end "touristy" is reached by boat through the reed beds and takes about 45 minutes each way, last year it was 7 lira return, oh I forgot kids are free. This is the end you are taken to if you are on a Dalyan tour, so at certain times there can be thousands of people there, which is why most of us go to the other end. The cafe is cheaper and there are trees for shade if you don't want to hire an umbrella and sunbeds. It is still worth the trip by boat as you can sit by the river one side of a sanddune walk over and there is the sea. The whole beauty of the place is that it is not spoilt by hotels and bars etc. you can even wonder off into the dunes where there are trees and lakes for a bit of solitude.

does look a bit desolate, dont it?
just need the tumbleweed blowing across, and a rattlesnake in the corner, would look like dead mans gulch, then

Thanks Andy for the less desolate pictures, perhaps John can send his to a Movie Studio to see if they want to make a western here, That would be fun for the winter. But then perhaps John has an ulterior motive, to keep the beach for ourselves.

Steve, you sussed me out, I enjoy the remoteness of the beach I cannot stand being crammed in with loads of bodies which is what I tried to portray in my original photo. However I have found another one that may give a different perspective.
