I Have Installed A Style That Supports iphones/ipods and other mobile devices
it should auto select mobile style
any problems let me know

OK, I will be the brave one. What are you talking about Andy, I don't have ipod or other things you are talking about and my mobile is just that, a phone no camera or anything else. I think you need to explain further for people who do have these things.
This add-on will detect most mobile phones, iPhones, PDAs and other mobile browsing devices and automatically for the user to a specific vBulletin style.
What can it do?
Detects most mobile phones and force the user to a specific style (users will not be able to select other styles from a mobile device with this add-on installed). If you have multiple styles installed which are optimized for small screen mobile devices, iPhones, WIndows Mobile devices you can assign a specific style to each of these groups.

Gosh, that is clever, still no good for me as mine is the bog standard type phone and it doesn't do browsing but I suspect plenty of other members have these devices.

:Mad: What have you done to me Andy, I could quite happily go online from my phone and even post a reply. Then you have to go and play and now I can view but can't post reply even though it gives the option buttons.
For info, my phone is a N95 8gb. :grumpy:

I got the post reply box up this time, but if I move the cursor outside the box i.e to bold some text, my phone opens a new window. When I go back it has wiped anything I had written. So then I tried to just do a straight reply and it had a web connection timeout.
The last one I get sometimes so I think that is down to the phone.
Think I have fixed it john.

Do you all have this posh kit, those phones are realy expensive here, even my eldest brother has just been given the new samsung 8mp thingy and he will never learn how to use it, he likes his toys but they usualy end up going back in the box because he doesn't know how to use them and then goes back to the basic things, normaly the ones I choose for him.
i just traded this off my lad its an ipod touch with wifi so i can get emails and go online with it
without humping a 4 kg lappy around with me
very handy bit of kit for me
so i can now get drunk and surf ideal world
i know what you mean steve
A mobile phone to me is a Phone
A Camera Is A camera
A Ipod is a small pc

When I get drunk and surf, I talk rubbish, so perhaps not ideal for me. Though I would like a mobile that had wifi so that I could use skype anywhere. But they are just so expensive here, I can't justify it, not even after a few beers and am feeling brave.

June ignore the sexist comments, if you had one of these new fangled phones that have wifi and internet access, sort of techie things that you and I do not have as much as I would like to, then you might be interested. Basically if you have one of those phones you can synchronise it with your computer and the forum so that you do not need to use the pc to go online and look at the forum or answer it, you would also need wifi, not necesarily so but too complicated to explain.
My Mum is 96 this year and she has a wifi skype phone to keepin touch with the familly around the world, she has not got a clue about how or why it works, we just set it up and she just uses it, your wayward clubgoing daughter or is it granddaughter could do the same for you, sorry just had to put that in no offence intended, if you had this type of phone, it is not really necesary only if you happen to have or need one. I hope that answers your question.

Ps. that was why I answered this thread as OK I will be the brave one, it is not rocket science or any thing else to be scared off, just a useful addition if you have the kit to comply, if you don't and I don't, do not worry.
