I had some Lira left over from my holiday last year in N.Cyprus,but when i changed some this week for my holiday in Dalyan it looks different,does this matter.

the new new turkish lira notes now dont have the word new on them, and they are smaller than the old new turkish lira notes.
as long as you have the new new lira notes and not the old new lira notes you will be ok, although im not sure when the old new lira notes will cease to be legal tender, now the new new lira notes are available, you may be able to spend both the new new lira as well as the old new lira, but you definitely cant spend the old old lira.

Well the Lira i have from last year,where changed last year.Yes they are larger than the ones i have just got for this year.I will take them and hope for the best.

I think the old "new" turkish lira are valid until 31st December this year. Confusion abounds.

well, yeah, but we all speak such perfect turkish, we see it as "new"
