2 ways to do this is manually or automatic the router gives you the option

enter your user name and password like above (but use yours)

Now change

VPI to 8
and
VCI to35 and save

wireless settings if you dont want wireless availabe untick

Enable wireless Access Point
and
Allow Broadcast Of Name

This is the way to secure your wireless connection as per above picture

change the stock admin password here to one you will remember

The stock password is "password"

If all above fails contact an engineer as i found these settings on the net for Turkey

Hey Andy that was interesting, but does it still work. I have had all sorts of problems with routers here in Dalyan, I have got through 3 so far and ended up getting the local air ties product which is working very well and was very easy to set up.
Most of the problems seem to be with my line as 2 of the previous modems worked for a while and then developed a problem but they both worked in other locations in Dalyan.
If any of you have wifi netgear skype phones, I can tell you they work very well here, lots of places have wifi.

as far as i know Steve yes but if you have a poor line then a good router/modem will disconnect and cause problems like you had

i have not had the pleasure yet to try out the air ties modem but will do as soon as i can

for any others that dont know me im a computer engineer so any problems just shout

OOOH, you shouldn't say that too loud you will be inundated with requests from Brits with PC problems.
One or two of the locals are quite good but they do have a nasty habit of putting dodgy programs on. So most of us try to avoid them.
You are probably right about modems and my phone line, I have had problems with my line ever since I got it, however if you buy products designed for the local market they usualy fare much better than standard imported goods. One of my modems was a USRobotics and the AirTies looks exactly the same but has been engineered to put up with Turkish electrics and phone lines.

my mate in Dalyan has a pub , i sold him a computer and brought it from Hull to him

with all the power cuts he did not get a UPS so his computer crashed and would not start

he took it to a computer shop and they installed a dodgey copy of Xp Pro on it ,even though it had a genuine windows XP Home key on the side

I know i am going to be on holiday when i visit dalyan but pleased to hear thats lots of places have wifi, being able to send and recieve emails is important to me and last time i used my mobile for a connection in Turkey it cost an absolute fortune!
We are staying at the Binlik this time and am informed they have wifi.

Yes, most hotels have wifi now but beware some charge extra for it, don't worry there are many cafe's etc with wifi who are quite happy to let you use it if you have a drink or something. The Binlik quite often has Turkish business men staying there so I would expect the wifi to be free but I don't know for sure.
