Hi George and jean
Well I must say you picked a great spot for a first visit to Turkey. Whereabouts exactly are you staying. Another thing, your'e as young as you feel and its never too late to start using the PC, opens up a whole new world.
As for places to visit, I'm sure other members will point you in the right direction. We have been many times to Dalyan full of good intentions of going here, there and everywhere, but once there, we do absolutely nothing but read, relax and eat out in the many fabulous restaurants. We come back thoroughly chilled through and through and ready to start the work week (well sometimes!!). We are going on the 21st and cannot wait, it can't come soon enough.
Have a fabulous first trip to Turkey and especially to Dalyan, its a magical place.

Hello Jean and George and welcome to the Forum. When you say 'trips' do you mean organised trips (by an agency) or will you be driving?

Hi George and Jean
Try any of the boat trips going either up or down the river. You can swim off the boat or just enjoy the scenery quite a few also do a barbeque. Also try the trips offered by the Co-op buses they are very reasonable, also there are quite a few agencies in Dalyan. We have been visiting Dalyan 2 or 3 times each year for the past 11 years and always find something to do. We are back there on Monday for 2 weeks - looking forward to the sun.
