Yes quite right why should TLF get the photo's. Very nice they are too, we have redstarts in the garden at the moment. By the time I get the camera out they will be gone!

Steve, have you got redstarts or black redstarts whichever one they are elusive buggers aren't they, they don't keep still for long. Had a pair here last week but the best I could get was this

Bit miffed as the pair of buzzards that we had flying around for a few days seem to have moved on, was sure they had started to nest on the cliff face the other side of the road, but no sign of them for a couple of days now. Hopefully they will be back.

I think someone said they were black redstarts but I don't know I am clueless. Jon Lyles will know, he comes back on the 31st.

If they looked like the one in my photo then it would be a balck redstart. It was more likely to be this than the redstart as I don't think they are common here.

I think the ones in our garden are more colourful than that one John, but I could be wrong I'm not an expert.
