I think some places are still charging 4tl though it depends on where you go. I know the Metin Pizza were charging that.

Again this year prices in the bars and restaurants vary, the most reasonably priced restaurant Cagri the beer is still 3.5lira but I expect it will go up to 4 at some time, a lot of places still charge 4lira but most bars are charging 5lira. One or two other places are offering 3.5 at certain times, usually when you are not thirsty unless you like a beer or 3 during the day. Supermarkets are still the cheaper option but even these vary significantly, the other option is buy it by the case from Acarlar, like John and a lot of others do.

If you go to the top of Bar Street they have large Effes on the menu for 6tl. Our friends are visiting and remember last time they came 2 years ago the price was 2.50tl and 36tl for a case which is now 50tl. Is this what they call inflation !
