burglaries

we have booked a villa for our holiday and it is on the edge of town overlooking feilds in a very quiet part.
im now so very worried re the villa burglarys ive been reading about on trip advisor.
what extra precautions do we need to take and are they breaking in locked windows and doors.
wont be leaving any money anyway as we always just use atm when out.

Just be very careful, make sure everywhere is locked up when you go out. The Gendarme has sent out leaflets to everyone regarding burglaries and what you should do. The leaflets are useful if you can read between the lines!!!!! as the translation isn't very good, but at least they are taking the problem very seriously. Have a great holiday
