ok folks out there, 9 days to go, (ash cloud permitting), so what are the prices like over there this year?
has there been much inflation?:waaaht:
is a beer still less than 5ytl?
can a decent meal be had for less than the cost of a modest three bed semi in leafy suburbia?:hungry:
will i be able to survive on 10ytl a day?:moneygrubber:
(obviously, that figure does not include beer!)
is it hot?
see y'all soon!

Up, Yes, No, Someplaces, No and Getting there :)

Beer is around 5tl - 6tl, but if you go to the pamukkale pide place it is only 3.5tl for a large Efes.

If you are coming in to Dalyan on the main road from the large roundabout it is on your right hand side in the block of shops before you get to the road that has Jiks bar on the corner.

The Pides are good there as well as the price of beer.

I suspect that price will go up during the season or you are being treated like a local John.
You can still get a bloody good chicken wrap at the Dalyan Kokorec place for 3 lira, which is like a meal in itself.
Although we have moved to Dalaman we still visit Dalyan about 3 times a week so I can inform you that restaurant prices in Dalaman are about half what you pay in Dalyan and you can still get beer for 4 lira.

The beer price was written on the menu Steve, we did ask at the time if it was for a large or small beer when we first saw it but were told large and that is what was served.

Whether they will alter it as the season progresses who knows but this was only last week that we had it.

I agree pamukkale palace is a good place for food and drink - We like Jix as well, but you pay a bit more for the surroundings, but always had good food

favourite cheaper places are Cagri and what we call the chicken shack ( Bulent by the mosque) but we make sure we go to the part his wife runs as her chips are much much better - one doner on a plate, one meat balls and 1 extra chips and we are usually pretty much stuffed

Also good to see the lira is still riding high cpmared to last year

now you have moved Steve might we still see you for breakfast one day between the 6th and 17th?

Banjoman,Are you not going to be at the meet up on the 4th in the tea garden? If not yes we will probably pop in one day!

John, that is very good then, is it going to get full with Brits then?

Steve - must be old age again and forgot about the tea garden meet - we will be there-only a week to go and looks like the ash cloud is going away. Wonder if the lira can hit 2.70 by next week?
