Dear Andrea Cook,
Arrived at Dalaman Airport on Tuesday 21st October at 4.30am for 6.40am flight to Humberside Airport.
We couldn?t find our check in and nobody was around to inform us what was going on.
Eventually was told to go to a desk at the other end of the airport and we would be given information. Their we either stood or sat on the floor as there was not enough seating.
There we were told our flight had been cancelled and we were flying out from Bodrum.
They told us a Rep was in the Airport and would be given more information.
About 30 minutes later a Rep came, asked to see our passports and then said he would give us a letter explaining what was going to happen .
No apology.
He then handed us a letter and that was it.
The coach arrived at 6.30 am and took us to a Hotel in Bodrum.10.00am we arrived and sat on the coach for another half an hour until the Rep spoke to us.
No Apology.
She said she had just been told of the situation.
She told us we could have a meal and one drink only at 12.00pm.
Told us we could wait outside near the pool and catch the coach back to Bodrum Airport at 14.00pm for a flight at 17.00pm.
That was the first and last time we saw her.
At 12.30pm we still hadn?t got any Lunch or information about it, so we went to the Reception.
We explained who we were and the person behind the desk just put his hands up to say he didn?t know. Then he said and pointed you can go in there .
We then informed the other people from our coach we could go in the dining room.
There was nowhere to freshen up and felt we had been let down badly.
We couldn?t go out of the Hotel as my husband had a Lap top and didn?t trust it being left on the coach as it was left open.
We got back on the coach at 14.00 to the Airport and eventually arrive back at Humberside Airport just after 19.00.This was now ten hours late.
Please can you let me know why you send out an E-Mail to inform us when we were on holiday? Especially as it was only sent the afternoon before we were flying home.
I do not access E-Mails on Holiday.
Also on the Friday before we flew home the flight was still on and on the Saturday before we flew home our friend booked a flight home on our flight so why wasn?t she told then it had been cancelled.
Trying to ring you on previous occasions was a nightmare trying to get through, and was told not to bother ringing during summer.
My husband and I both lost a days pay as we were supposed to be back at work at 10.30am that morning plus cancelling our transfer home and then rebooking it cost us more money.
This year we have booked fifteen flights with your company.
After reading your E-Mail I think you could have worded the last sentence better.
How can you think that we were not inconvenienced by these changes?
