Julie, you do need to prioritise with clothing, it just is not the same here, you need a small set for winter and you will find that you probably will wear the same stuff a lot of the time. Then there is summer, you don't need much and a couple of nice outfits for smart times, not very often, probably one winter weight and one summer, it really can just boil down to that, it is either hot or cold or wet.
Washing is not the problem that it can be in the Uk, it will dry very quickly most of the year.
I will be honest we have got loads of clothes that we just don't wear and Andy can get away with way less than you can.
