A quick update.
Korky (or Korketta :Yep:) got plucked last week, he/she has forgiven me. Still saying "Korky good boy" and comes onto my finger for a tickle. It will two weeks before we find out the results.
Got the Alfa running properly so I can start advertising. I thought it had a MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor) problem as it was hesitant accelerating and running out of puff at 5000rpm. ££££ signs were running through my head as a new one is around £180 . Anyway yesterday I did a bit of investigating and found three splits in the air intake hose between the MAF and the throttle body. A judicious bit of taping up was performed and I tested it out on the way home from work. It felt like a new car, revved all the way up to 7000rpm 0-60 in 7.2 seconds is back and the engine was performing that automobile opera that only a V6 alfa could. :Yep:
So it is a replacement intake hose and then up for sale, I will miss it. The personal plate is worth £600 but I will have to sell it with the car as I just don't have the time to sort that out with the DVLA.
Also been looking at shipping a parcel over to our place, DHL have given me a quote of £53 for a 25kg parcel but I have to check out whether this delivered to the door in Turkey as a friend bought something last year and DHL wanted him to travel to Izmir to pick it up. Alternative is the Post Office but need to get a price from them. Just want something that will be cheaper than excess baggage.
