As regular forum readers will know ,I have just been back to England, the south and southeast to be specific, and I have some observations A, everyone must be rich, 5 years ago when we last went back the most common cars were rovers, fords, vauxhals, fiats and bmw's or vw's in that order, now it is bmw, mercedes, lexus, audi, bentley and aston martin with range rover in the middle of both lists some where along with porsche. I actually got excited when I saw a fiat doblo. And B.
Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Primark are so good and so cheap compared to here, no wonder everyone can afford a nice car. Now that will set the cat amongst the pidgeons??? I spent so much in Tesco, they have this week announced bumper sales and growth, someone should tell them it was me and I am not going back for another 5 years,
Also went to a nice mexican restaurant with the daughter and son in law, no kids but they have a lexus, it cost ?94 for the 4 with them having a couple of drinks each, when I said strewth, thats a lot!! they then told me that they regularly spend that and more on just the 2 of them in London and thought it was very good value. It must be down to perceptions and disposable income.
