Of course you can get a full english, you can go to Marmaris!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only joking, some of the restaurants do advertise this menu option, but I would rather have a good menemen. Not many places have it on the menu but will rustle one up if you ask.

My mum was from Naples by the way so I have Italian blood coursing through my veins.
I have a photographic memory, but sometimes I leave the Lens Cap on.

Yes many places do a passable English breakfast at a reasonable price. I hate to admit it but I was the first to offer proper English breakfast in Dalyan, the only reason being that many English people don't have time for breakfast at home and probably only have it on holiday. Now of course everyone else has copied.
John, did you know the reason almost any Turkish man can cook Menemen if nothing else, is because traditionally their mothers teach them this one dish before going to University or National Service so that they don't starve.

Well I didn't know that, but I suppose there is Menemen and there is Menemen, the best one we have had so far was on he way back from Mugla just after you come down the big hill onto the long straight there is a place set back from the road, it was really good.

There is a small pancake place up river from Dalyan past where the camels used to be that does a good one as well.

I like an Imam Bayildi as well.

Although they grow like mad here, both Sandra and I are allergic to peppers and not that keen on auburgine, I like a little in an oven baked guvec but that is about it.
The place you are talking about, would it be YORUK ALI'S ? Most of the food there is great and we often stop on the way back from Mugla or Marmaris.
Yes there are many different versions of Menemen, as the ingredients can change as to what is available but the most basic version seems to be eggs scrambled with onion and tomato fried in olive oil or butter, you can put anything you like in. Its a one pan meal. I can't stand it as I am also allergic to eggs, but I have no trouble cooking with them for other people.

As this has all got a bit off subject! I forgot to mention that those living in a village such as Kemaliye and Okcular do not pay any council rates as they are not in the Belediye but you still get your bins emptied and street lights and in some parts you have even got paved roads.

    Hi Steve,
Our property is in Ockcular. We dont have a paved road or even the red crushed brick, if that is what its called and have to walk approx 200 meters to put our rubbish in a 40 gallon drum .We have paid our Council Tax since 2004 since we got our Tapu and Living Permit.

    Regards Julie

I did say some parts, I also think you now have the big galvanised metal bins on the main road. Who do you pay council tax to?

I stand corrected and no I didn't know that. I was under the impression that villages did not pay emlak vergi and was part of the reason some of them were objecting to going into the Belediye. Just goes to prove I am not infallable, but I think I have said that somewhere else.

By the way do you like my new avatar, it reminded me of the robot used in the Arcelik adverts.
