Default 12 Days to Go and Counting

Only 12 days left till our first visit to Dalyan......can't wait :)

Weather looks good.......Lots of bars been mentioned to me "LT's is good for a quiet beer and a natter with other english. The Sunray has live music and also a seating area by the river, The rock bar plays what it says on the tin. The captains bar has sky sports and shows all the footie"

A few places to eat too....Ali Baba's sounds interesting........any nice places to eat on the river....did I read Safron (might have that wrong) is nice and on the river?

    Hope to see you there.....

The Safran is on the river with views over the rock tombs which are lit up at night. There are quite a few restaurants along the river with these views though. However we normally go to the Safran at least once during our stay as it is one of our favourites.

Forgot to mention don't forget to write up "A Dalyan Virgins view" on your return.
I have a photographic memory, but sometimes I leave the Lens Cap on.

Yes I am looking forward to all the new views and comments, gives me something to read on a cold winters night.
Actually I get quite excited when other people feel the same about Dalyan as I do, If there are any nasty comments, please address them sensibly and we shall try to do something about it, as there probably won't be any I shall now go back to sleep.

well, the grease laden lumps of reconstituted "meat" that you get in a doner in UK are based on an original Turkish idea, the last one i saw in Turkey was many layers of real meat pressed down onto the skewer, rather than the "elephant leg" you get at home, so yes, you may be able to get one, but no, it will not be like the british ones, it will taste nice.
see that little girl in the red coat?
    her name is Leah.
    that's my princess, that is.
one day soon, i'm going to bring her to Dalyan.

Hi there, I agree with John, Safran is a great restaurant, only thing with the restaurants along the river is that they tend to be a little pricier, for obvious reasons, but still worth trying. I also like Ceyhan along the river for a lovely lunch. You might want to try some of the little local lokantas too, excellent food and great prices. Always a good sign when the locals are eating there. Caghri Pide (excuse spelling), Atay Dostlar, Fiesta, and my one time favourite not to be missed is Ramazan Han. Can't wait to hear about your Dalyan experience, so jealous as we have to wait until September. 18 weeks and counting.
