People Say They Have Never Been To Paradise
They Aint Been To Dalyan Then
Hi Glynn, and welcome.
I've yet to find a decent streetmap, Kaunos tours did have a basic one on the back of one of the flyers outside their shop and on their website.
I have a photographic memory, but sometimes I leave the Lens Cap on.
i have yet to see a good street map of ANYWHERE in turkey!
it may have something to do with so much of the land being military, it may be that the turks already know where they are, and dont need maps, i dont know.
see that little girl in the red coat?
her name is Leah.
that's my princess, that is.
one day soon, i'm going to bring her to Dalyan.
Hi Glynn,
Welcome to the forum.
Regards Julie
Hi and welcome. Street maps as a rule are a bit alien to most Turks as are road maps. With the coming of gizmos in the car and on telephones this may soon be a thing of the past but at the moment the Kaunos one is as good as it gets.
"gizmos" techy word for the thing that tells you how to get from a to b that I can't remember the name of, and not a new name for the passenger.
Thanks for the info and making me feel welcome.....
Yes John, thats the thing, Sat-Nav. Thanks. It is being pushed like mad here in the tecky shops, but God alone knows how or where it will work. The last time I used a taxi in Izmir I had to direct the driver because he did not have a clue and he certainly didn't have a map.
