    Default day dreamer!

    Hi fellow Dalyan fans

I have recently got back from my second holiday to the beautiful Dalyan and can't stop dreaming of spending longer than a week or two there. I am sure I don't need to start listing the reasons why as it would be preaching to the converted, but I would so love to be able to spend maybe 6 months out there next year. Any advice on how realistic this could be or is it all just a pipe dream?! I met a few locals out there who said I would be able to find work but not sure how true this is and how to go about looking into it.

Glad to have found this site and to know others share the passion!

Go and have 6 month in the sun

but don't think you will be able to work out there as you need a work permit

you could get caught and be banned from Turkey for a year +

others who no more will post i hope

while we were out in Dalyan , we did hear that an English man was arrested in a bar for working there
    Regards Andy

The only other possibility is to get a job as a rep, though Dalyan itself is difficult to get into as no one wants to give it up, the only ones that sometimes change ar Thomas Cook and Holidays4you.
Did you get a name for the English man Andy? Sometimes there are unfounded rumours but it does happen.

Thanks for the work permit warning

Maybe I should just take early retirement (at 28 yrs!!) and spend my days sipping Efes, being content in the sunshine watching the boats and turtles go by
