There is a Turtle Research, Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre on Iztuzu Beach.
Injured turtles are looked after at the centre which is set back a couple of 100s mtrs from the beach. You can drive up and park there. It's open from 10am to 6pm.
There is currently a fairly large 4 yr old male loggerhead turtle, Efe (bless him!). He was injured by a fisherman and had a fish hook stuck in his mouth. He has had an operation and is recovering well. He will be released into the sea around September.
The centre is a good source of information and the students/researchers speak good English.
There is a lecture centre just behind the beach bar where documentaries are run daily at 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
