Disappointment

We should be in Dalyan now but at the eleventh hour I went down with Labrynthitis (severe dizziness) and very sadly we had to cancel our trip. :cry:We were so looking forward to seeing Dalyan again after spending two glorious weeks there in May. We were to meet up with our new aquaintences, The Winters, Barbara (Barbara and Brian) and Banjoman. We know the weather has been sunny all the way as our son and his girlfriend have been in Dalyan since last Thursday and we have received a text each day. They seem to enjoy eating at the Hidden Garden, The Sini, Ramazan Han and Ley Ley. Hopefully we will return to Dalyan again if not in October, then next year for it is the best resort we have found in Turkey after visiting the country since 1993.
Happy Holidays to those fortunate to get to Dalyan this year.

Thanks Banjoman - thinking of you all enjoying the lovely resort of Dalyan, you lucky things. While laid up, I have been watching a video that we had taken of Dalyan which did lift my spirits and helped me relive our time there. As you say, hope to meet up next year.

Thank you for your good wishes. Just received a text from our son holidaying in Dalyan and they have had storms out there today. He was out on a jeep safari but he still had a great time. The storm is cooling the temperature down. I wonder what the weather is like in mid October?

October is usually nice as Andy stated. We look forward to the cooler weather after months of non stop sun (we're never satisfied are we)
It is lovely tonight after the rains, there's a nice cool breeze and just a few flashes of lightning

It was not exactly a lot of rain, we drove through from Marmaris yesterday and it was tipping it down before Toparlar and when we got home there was nothing. Only a little shower!
Anyway it has cleared the air so it is now nice and sunny, warm and comfortable.

Sorry to hear about your illness and canceled holiday, perhaps you can come a bit later?
