I have just returned from a ten day stay in our villa in Dalyan, great as usaul. Got the villa painted and the woodwork varnished. The only fly in the ointment was the dogs. Our villa is in Gulpinar opposite the Calypso hotel and the the small square there seems to have become the congregating area for the local dogs. At one point in the early hours of Monday morning there were 9 of them barking and fighting. At any one time in the day there are at least 5 of them there. I realise that it is the Turkish way to leave their dogs out t o roam the streets but it's time they realised that by the number of complaints we had from talking to people walking past the Villa from the Ala Turca, Keskin and other hotels that tourist are not happy about being kept awake all night and without tourists where will the local economy be?
I believe that there is some ex-pat committee involvement with the Belidiye perhaps the subject could be raised there?
