Dr Prakash Shah, senior lecturer from The Department of Law, Queen Mary University London is doing research study for The Nuffield Foundation UK . If this initial research shows a need for further investigation, he will be prepairing a paper on The Socio-Legal Status of British Immigrants in Turkey.
His interest is to discover problems ex-pats face with the legal system here in Turkey, and has chosen Istanbul and Dalyan to do his investigations. He is well respected in his field and can be easily "googled" where you can read some of his papers and find more information about him and the position he holds at the university.
If people are prepaired to talk to him (in confidence), I am sure he will find that it is not only the larger holiday destinations of Turkey like Bodrum who are experiencing legal problems with property scams. He would like to hear from anyone who has had legal issues here from parking fines to court action.
Dr Shah can be contacted at prakash.shah@qmul.ac.uk
