This is a substantial saving for this self-funded project that will enhance the life of the village.

On another tack; a friend donated a very battered, wooden garden chess set for the chess club at the school. The set was hand made in Ortaca more than 20 years ago and cost a small fortune back then.
Book Project money has been used to carry out a splendid restoration with thanks to Will, Janet and Alan for the work. Book money has also been used to get the materials for an outdoor 'board' to be constructed. Zengin Ticaret gave us 10% discount on th tiles; Ortaca Belediye have given sand and ballast free; Demka Tic. in Eksiliyurt gave us 5 bags of cement; and Akdeniz Tic. of Dalyan gave us 50% discount on other cement and materials. When Osman has a spare few days (and it isn't piddling down with rain), he will do the construction, offering his time for free.
What a great place we live in!!
It will be great to see the children's faces when the set is 'unveiled'.
