Many of you will have been to visit the school to view the amazing murals that have been created by Gülay Çolak, Fiona MacRae, Janet Surman and the children. The project was funded by money raised through sales of 'Okçular Village a Guide' by Alan Fenn and it has generated tremendous media interest locally and nationally.
As a result the Polisan Paint company (whose exterior grade 'Exelans' paint was used) has featured the school and project in its 2011 catalogue. They have already donated 30kgs of paints and crayons to the children and we have hopes of more. On November 2nd 2010 Mr Reha Tepe, Sales and Marketing Director for Polisan will visit the school. We intend to make him very welcome and to give his trip from Istanbul to Okçular as much media coverage as we can.
