    Default Turkish Law 5199

    In accordance with turkish law 5199

    Article 4/b - Domesticated animals have the freedom to live according to the living conditions specific to their species. The lives of ownerless animals should be supported in the same way as those animals with owners.

    Article 21/d - Any dog found abandoned must be provided shelter, food and health care and after 10 days, if the dog cannot be found a home after announcements have been made, it must be neutered and returned (after 7 days recovery) to the place where it was found

    Article 21/g - No animals found within the confines of council boundaries can be removed from outside of said boundaries. Abandonment is illegal.

    Any vehicle involved in an accident with a street animal must by law seek medical attention for the animal.

    John, have you put this on TLF? It is most interesting and of course, the Turks not liking to be told what to do, will do as they want which is a great pity. If only they would obey some laws.

    If you're not happy today - then what day are you waiting for???
